I found this SUPER cute idea on Pinterest and had to make it for my boys teachers. I also made one for the principal and one for the Admin Assistant who does EVERYTHING at the school (they go to a small 1 class per grade Catholic school). They loved them and I enjoyed making them. I covered empty pop tart, oatmeal, and ritz bitz snack boxes to make the baskets. I used paper and ribbon to cover and make the handle. I used brads to hold on the handle (I used my crop a dile for the first time to make the holes-so easy). I used Locker Talk for the pencil, ruler and scissors. I filled the box with red tissue paper before I put in the treats. I put a soda, a pack of light microwave popcorn and at my sons request a highlighter (since the card says "Soda" lighted (so delighted) to have you as...so he wanted a high lighted to go with the "lighted" portion of the card.) I printed the sentiment and their names on the computer to make the tags. Unfortunately I forgot to take a final picture of all 4 together so I just have these ones I took along the way. (the tag below was for the Admin Assistant, the others said "Soda"lighted your my teacher and "Soda" lighted your our Principal). My daughter starts preschool in 2 weeks so I may make two for her teachers...we will see what time allows! TFL.
This is my personal blog that hopefully others will enjoy finding information on projects, ideas, etc. that I have created, scraplifted or borrowed :)

Birthday Card for My Hubby :)
My husband is a beer connoisseur so for most occasions besides a regular gift, he always gets some sort of beer. Last year for our anniversary I got him a beer of the month club membership (bimonthly). This year he is getting car parts for his project car but as usual I will get him a 6 pack of beer, hopefully I can find his favorite summer beer before summer ends but we will see. In honor of that I made him a beer card :) I used the St. Patrick's Day beer card on the Spring Holiday Cards cartridge and took away that sentiment and put in Happy Birthday using my gypsy. Then I stamped it with the sentiment conserve water drink beer from the Pink By Design just for men stamp set :) I then used some stickels to add some glitter to the "beer" portions of the card (very similar to what I did for his Valentine's Day card). I think he will get a kick out of it. TFL.

Girly Birthday Card for My Niece
My niece is turning 7 today so I wanted to make her a girly card. She asked for cash (through her mom) because she wants to buy herself a laptop so I thought this card was theme appropriate! I have never (that I can remember but don't quote me on that) used bling on a page. I have these adhesive rhinestones from Recollections which I love and enjoyed using them. I made the purse able to hold the money because I thought that was cute. I used two different embossing folders on the purse. The purse and sentiment came from the Paisley Cricut cartridge and the laptop came from Locker Talk. Luckily I had a cute little happy birthday stamp that fit the laptop screen perfectly (one of those cheapy $1 stamps from Michaels or AC Moore). I printed the inside sentiment on my computer. Now the question is how much money do you give a 7 year old????? TFL! (BTW-no damage from the East Coast Earthquake thanks goodness! The first thing I did when I got home was check my craft room, LOL).

Baby Baby Baby!
A young lady in my office is due to have a baby later this month so we planned a surprise shower for her. I made a banner, a card, a Mommy to Be button, a diaper tricycle and some party favors (party favors and diaper tricyle are thanks to my good friend Stephannie (http://www.born2beach.blogspot.com/). I really enjoyed making everything, especially since it was girly :) I used Sugar and Spice for the banner (except the triangles, I used lyrical letters and cut off the tag piece) and for the card. Stephannie cut the pillow boxes (minus the bunny) from her Easter cart and she made the little It's a girl sentiments on the computer! The Mommy to Be was very surprised by the shower and LOVED everything! Success! Can't wait to do another one, I hope someone I know has a boys soon, I would love to do some blue stuff! (sorry some of the pics are not great, I forgot to take a good picture of the banner and the lighting is off in some of the others). TFL.

Cards, Cards, Cards
I am a little behind on some cards so I made 3 the other night. Two birthday and one graduation. I used varsity letter for the #'s for the birthday cards, then I stamped and used embossing powder for the sentiments, I had not done this in a LONG time but it turned out cute against the black. The Happy Birthday is from My Creative Time Many Greetings set and the Sweet is from one of those $1 stamps from Michaels or AC moore. I also did a graduation card that I just stamped a sentiment in the middle and then a graduation cap which I colored in pinkish purple to make it girly. I got the Graduation sentiment on clearance at Michaels and the cap I found at a local store. I love the way it turned out against the white and it was super easy and fast! It makes me realize how much I missed using stamps! Now I will have to stock up, LOL. TFL.

CREATE!
So my daughter has officially moved upstairs and now is sharing a room with her sister, so far so good! They have slept there for 3 nights (one is in a crib and one is in a toddler bed). Now that I can officially start making the craft room/office/multipurpose room mine I decided to do some vinyl on the wall. I know the word CREATE is probably in most craft rooms but it is what I wanted for mine too! I put it above a window where I have a cheap little curtain rod with some drapery rings on it so I can hang items after I am done creating them, I think this is a perfect way to show items and also give myself inspiration, I could put some templates or ideas I find online up there as well. I have another wall of windows in her and want to put another word or quote above it, but I need more vinyl and a good idea for above that because it is a longer space! I used Lyrical Letters for the letters for this one. TFL.
Cropping with the girls!
I cannot remember the last time I did a scrapbook page, it has been a LONG time! This past weekend I had my girlfriend and my sister in law over. I vowed to get my oldest daughters 2nd birthday and my youngest daughters 1st birthday done...I did half :) I got 6 pages done (I take WAY too many pictures) for my oldest daughters 2nd birthday. I did the actual day of her birthday, we went to dinner, and then the day of her birthday party. I honestly was in a crafting funk for some reason but am glad I got these pages done. I still need to add a Diego sticker to the first picture, above the Ally banner, but otherwise I think I am done with these! The only Cricuting I did for these was the banner, it was cute from Lyrical Letters, I cut off the little loop that was at the top with it and just taped it down onto the string versus stringing it. I used border punches for the candle border and the cupcakes which I then decorated with stickels. TFL!

Car Decals!
A few years ago my girlfriend bought me some flipflop vinyl stickers for my van to represent members of our family (because we all LOVE flipflops and the beach). I loved them but after a couple of years some of them wore off. I could not decide what kind I wanted to put back on (flipflops, turtles, people, etc) but then I won (bought) the Cricut Car Decals cartridge on Ebay last week...YEAH me! I was so excited. I still did not know what I wanted to put on the car but I decided to do flip flops for now until I want something else! It is nice to be able to just do it myself whenever I want. I love this cartridge, it is so cute and I have wanted it since it came out. I am SO glad I finally won it! Anyway, it is at least something (sort of) crafty to post on here :) TFL.
