Mady Moo's 3rd Birthday Party: Welcome to the Clubhouse

Earlier this month we had a little family party for my youngest baby, Madyson.  I call her Moo Moo, or Moo, or Mady.  Sometimes when I give her something I will say "Here you go 'mam" and she says "Call me Moo Moo".  I LOVE IT!  She is a tough, sweet, cute, little bunch of joy.  I really cannot believe she is 3.  It makes me want another baby SO bad but instead I will just enjoy the 4 amazing children that I have been blessed with :)

As shown in an earlier post I made the simple Mickey Mouse invitations for the party and had hoped to do a banner and center piece.  Well with everything going on with the hubby I really did not have the energy to do much but luckily I have the most amazingly crafty and generous friend Stephannie (born2beach.blogspot.com).  She stopped by a week before the party to show me the goodies she made for Mady's, it took all I had to not cry.  She made a banner, food labels, M&M sticks, gummies and brought a BUNCH of food.  She is AMAZING.  The only thing I ended up adding was a bigger Mickey and Minnie head to hang from our porch because we did not have plants yet and I wanted something to hang from there for some reason, LOL.

Here are some pics of her amazing work (I did not do her banner justice when it was outside so I took a pic inside on just a piece to show you how cute it is):

Aren't her decorations SO cute!  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful friend who would do so much for me and my family.  Thank you Steph for being so amazing!  You're the best.

Here is my birthday girl, she loved her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party.

Hope everyone has a crafty day!

End of Year Teacher Gifts From My Boys

Today is the last day of school for my boys (5th and 3rd grade) so I had to get those teacher gifts done!  I always do one for each homeroom teacher and the Principal and school Secretary.  I also did one for my older sons religion teacher because he has her every day.  They are almost the same as I did for my daughters preschool teachers except for these I had cute wicker bags I found at Target for $2.50.  I bought them probably 2 months ago and luckily used them (most things I buy just keep sitting here :)

I added a beach towel, two puzzle books, a pen and pencil, sunglasses, a water bottle and a spray bottle to each bag (most items were from the $1 store or $1 section).  I printed the tags on the computer and then cut the suns from Create a Critter.

I also used some cards I made using the One Sheet Wonder like I did for my daughters teachers.  I used Pink By Design stamps, Our Teachers and Big Thoughts, for the sentiments on the cards.

The school has been so wonderful since Ryan (my oldest-11 years old) started in kindergarten when he was 5 and they have especially been so caring and generous over the last few weeks since Ed received his cancer diagnosis so this is really the least I could do for them.  My 8 year old Kyle even told me last night that he did not want school to end because he would miss his teacher so much and that she is like a second mom to him.  I really could not ask for more. :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty day!

Mady Moo Turns 3: Mickey Mouse Invitations

Hello all.  I hope everyone is doing well.  It has been another long couple of weeks but we are hanging in there and are so blessed to be getting so much support from family and friends. (Thanks for the prayers).

I decided to do a Mickey Mouse Club House birthday for my baby girl, Mady Moo, who will be 3 this Friday.  I am doing her party next weekend because my hubby has chemo this week and I want him to be able to help and be a part of the party so we are doing it on an off week.  I saw a few of these invitations online in different places when I search for Mickey Mouse invitations.  They were super easy.

I used my Mickey Font cartridge to cut the base of Mickey in black, then I used Art Philosophy to cut the red circles and then just cut those in half using my paper trimmer.  Lastly on that side I just added two white buttons from the little jar of white buttons I bought at Michaels in the $1 section.  For the details I printed them on the computer, I did download one Mickey font for the Hot Dog... part.  I then printed 4 on a page and used the center cut feature on the Cricut and a circle from Art Philosophy to cut them out.  They were pretty easy but just took a little time to cut and assemble.  I stayed up late one night last week doing them.  I think they turned out cute.

Because we have so much going on the party is going to be very small and I do not plan to do much except a banner, center piece (maybe) and cupcakes (maybe cake pops too).  I go with my hubby to his chemo appointment this Wednesday which is all day so I am hoping to get some of the banner pieces cut and take it with me to work on, we will see!  Maybe I can get him to help...doubt it :)

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope everyone has a crafty day!
