An Early Easter...Sort Of

Next weekend we will be away for Easter so we decided to do a little egg hunt with the kids, we invited some neighborhood children, just a couple, another friend and her family and my nieces.  It ended up being my 4 kiddos, my niece and 2 little girls from our neighborhood.  (I had the idea to invite folks on Thursday and the hunt was on Sunday, LOL, so that may be why turnout was low).  I did make invitations for the neighborhood kids using the Spring Holiday Cards Cricut Cartridge (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE), the picture looks like they were green and red but they were a nice spring green and pink (darn iphone).  I also tooks some picks of the hunt and the cupcakes, little and big, that I made for the occassion-they were yummy!  The kids had a great time.  My mom, she is the best, did all of the eggs and brought them down with her.  Thank goodness (and God :)) for her.  Happy Early Easter to everyone.  TFL!

Thanks a bunch...again!

My 4th grader has his final munchkin choir concert today so I wanted to make a little thank you for her.  My son picked out this vase in the $1 section at Target so I used my Walk in My Garden cartridge to cut out the the flowers in multiple sizes then I hot glued them to some sticks that I colored green.  I cut the grass by hand and I cut out the thanks a bunch from the Walk in My Garden cartridge as well.  I hope she likes it!  TFL.

My Favorite Cooking Website!

So I did not do any crafting this weekend, although I did make a trip to AC Moore for some adhesive!  I am starting to get my supplies ready for the end of the year teacher gifts.  I did, however, do some cooking (I do not "cook" everyday although my kids do eat every day :)).  I love the website http://www.picky-palate.com/.  I mostly visit her for cookies and other desserts but I love all of her recipes (a couple of weeks ago I did the No-Bake Chewy bars in Oreo and Nutter Butter they were SUPER easy and yummy!).  On Saturday I made her peanut butter and jelly monkey bread, it was super delicious!  The kids loved it.  Then on Sunday I made her mozzerella stuffed homemade meatballs.  Those were super yummy also and pretty easy as well.  So although I did not get to any paper crafting this weekend, I did get to cooking and the girls helped a little (which they love).  The boys just helped eat the results, LOL.  Here are a few pictures :)

Also, my 3 year old received her very first haircut from my wonderful sister-in-law (I was also getting one).  Just a trim but it was such a cute experience and she was SO excited!  Here are some pics of my cutie patootie.
