I am so thankful for the beautiful thank you cards I have received from the different bloggers. I have used them all up so I have to make myself some more (that is not a complaint because I have so many people to thank-I am blessed). So tonight I had some time while the kids entertained themselves and had some scrap paper and ribbon laying around (from Valentines if you cannot tell) and a new Thank You stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps. I also added a cute Peachy Keen face and some faux stitching to my heart :)
I was able to get 10 cards done tonight which I think with 4 kids running around is a success!
Thank you again for the nice notes on the blog and prayers. I know they are helping give me the strength I need for each day.
Thanks for stopping by, have a crafty day!

Thank you SNOW much!
I need some more thank you cards recently to try to catch up on thanking people for being so generous at Christmas and for those folks who make us meals, etc. I had a bunch of snowman left because when I made my Christmas cards I accidentally cut my first batch of snowmen too small so I thought this would work out great. I just used left over Christmas paper for the cards also. Here is a peak at two of the cards.
I used Peachy Keen snowman stamp for the face and he was cut from Doodlecharms. I did the Thank you SNOW much! on the computer and used a Close My Heart stamp for the There's snowman like you sentiment. Now if I can just get them mailed out!
Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a CRAFTY day!

Thank You!
Last month my hubby and I wanted to go away for the night before he started chemo again. One of my dearest friends Stephannie is best friends with a very nice lady who works at a hotel in Ocean City, MD where we wanted to go. She got us a room and even sent us some wonderful dessert that night (strawberries and chocolate cake!). We would have used our money to go because we wanted to go away but honestly the money we saved made a huge difference. I wanted to make Brenda a card to thank her. I just recently purchased the Faceless Fall 2 set from Peachy Keen Stamps and have been wanting to use it. Why as soon as you add a Peachy Keen face to anything does it become the cutest thing ever? I do not know! I used my Everyday Character Assortment for the face. I used My Creative Times All Around Everything for the thank you circle and I used a thank you sentiment from the My Teacher Rocks set for the Thank You in the middle of the circle. I think the patterned paper is from a DCWV fall stack I had from last year. I hope Brenda likes the card :)
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a craft day!

Thank You Cards
When my husband Ed was first diagnosed with cancer back in May I told my girlfriend I needed to create some thank you cards to have on hand because people were doing things for us on a daily basis. She was so sweet and made me a stack of cards. Fortunately I ran out of them quickly because people are so generous. So recently I began making some of my own. I was going to use one of the one sheet wonders but really just wanted a bunch of the same cards but maybe using different patterned paper. I wanted something easy that I could do while sitting in the car or in my chair while watching my boys at football practice. I was able to find these gold shimmery card packs (of 20) for $1.00 at Michael's on clearance. I also bought the envelopes to match for $1.00. I could not pass those up. So I just used some sold card stock and patterned card stock that I had on hand to make a few varieties. I also bought a stamp set a few months ago (the same one my girlfriend used on the set she made me) because I wanted to be able to use punches so again I don't need my Cricut, but can instead punch the circles and stamp where I am. This makes it easy to craft at football, while I am with my husband at chemo, etc. Here are the cards I have made (and mailed-I need to get started on some more) so far.
I am not usually a fan of "crazy" patterned papers but loved the colorful animal print and zebra print and think they turned out cute. I know the cards are no where near as much as people have done for Ed and I but I hope they let them know how thankful we are for all they have done for us. Well, off to make more cards :)
Thanks for stopping by, have a crafty day.
