What a week!

Last week was crazy, I attempted to start two cards and was in a funk so luckily I did not need them right away so I put them away to come back to later.  3 of the 4 kiddos were sick last week and that was pretty draining as well.  Especially because 2 were my little ones and they really need their mommy when they are sick.  So since I did not get any crafting done I thought I would share a link to my friend Stephannie's page.  She is the MOST creative person I know.  Her projects are always amazing and this past week she did a "haul" video on the great deals she found last week so stop by and see her page.  She is at http://born2beach.blogspot.com/

Stephannie let me borrow her Going Places cartridge so I am going to try to make a card for a co-worker who just told me she is pregnant.  I did not have any carts with the baby bump on it but luckily Steph did!  Hopefully I can get it done this week.  Thanks Steph and thanks for looking!

Thank You Cards!

I saw a few blogs with pictures of children holding a real lollipop for a Valentine (Here is where I saw it first http://24-7-365.blogspot.com/2009/02/lavish-me-with-praise.html).  My boys were TOTALLY against it (they said they are too "old") and my daughters are not in school yet but I really wanted to try it so I decided to use the concept for my daughter's thank you cards for her 3rd birthday.  I finally got those done and actually in envelopes to mail...now to just get to the post office!  Maybe I will get them done before her 4th bday (LOL-her bday was in January) Here is the card (the real one has her name, not a flower) :)  I used Create a Critter to cut the cute heart balloon, a $1 stamp for the thanks and just printed the pictures at home .  TFL.

Valentine's Day 2011

Wow, there has been a lot going on in the last couple of weeks with the boys and school.  I cannot imagine how it will be when all 4 are in school.  Here is the Valentine's Day run down:  sour cream containers for the boys teachers (filled with hershey kisses and one edge cut with a heart punch), Valentine's for the boys classmates (orginally was going to do pop rocks but they are expensive and it would have cost me like $32 for all of them so we went with pencils!), little Valentine containers decorated and filled for each one of my kiddies with age appropriate goodies, a cute card for my hubby (who loves beer) to go with his dinner, a candy bar and a six pack of some of his favorite beer, I used my Gyspy to modify the card to remove the word IRISH and add the word MINE.  I used the Spring Holiday Cards for each gift except the sour cream containers.  I love that cart.  WOW!  That was a lot!  (I also included a pic of the beautiful flowers my hubby surprised me with during the middle of the day yesterday!)  TFL.

Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Friday was Teacher Appreciation Day at my childrens school.  Since I am the room mom for 2nd grade I made two gift boxes for the two teachers and also a card with a gift card attached from the class.  I also wanted to make one (minus the gift card) for my 9 year olds 4th grade teacher.  Then I also wanted to do something for the "extra" teachers and administrative staff so I made water bottle gifts.  I found both of these ideas online at http://frillsfluffandtrucks.blogspot.com/.  The water bottles were super easy.  All of the teachers loved the gifts.  TFL!

A Birthday Card

My hubby and I were invited to dinner for one of my closest friends birthday to The Melting Pot (yummy). I wanted to make her a cute quick card and she has always loved cows. The card came out more like a card for a young girl but it was still cute, LOL. TFL.
