For a couple of ladies at work I wanted to make them something small for the Christmas holiday. I baked some brownie covered oreos (YUMMO) and made a Christmasy hand sanitizer holder. Here are some pics of the hand sanitizer holders. Sorry for no pics of the brownies :( I found some perfect round/tall tins at Michaels that fit about 6-7 of the cookies. TFL.
This is my personal blog that hopefully others will enjoy finding information on projects, ideas, etc. that I have created, scraplifted or borrowed :)

Christmas Goodies Bags for Kids
I made some goodie bags for my 2nd and 4th grader to give to their classmates before the Christmas Holiday. My 2nd graders tags were cut from Jolly Holidays with a the wreath also cut from there. My 4th graders tag was cut from Jolly Holidays as well and the Christmas Terp is from Create a Critter. The kids loved them.

Cards-I love this Pop Up Gift Card Holder!
So I needed to make a couple of cards for a babyshower and a retirement. I decided to do the Pop Up Gift Card Holder I found online. It is fairly easy. First I made a card for my cousins babyshower using my Imagine and the Nursery Tails cart. Then I made a retirement card for a colleague using Lyrical Letters, Hello Kitty Font and Life's a Beach. TFL!

WOW, It's Been a LONG Time!
I am not sure what happened this summer but I really have been unable to log on to post. I have still enjoyed reading others blogs but hope to post AT LEAST once a week from now on because I really miss it! I feel like I have still been creating but not posting. Well the most recent craft I worked on was making a slider box advent calendar for my niece. She had her tonsils out recently so I wanted to give her a get well/early Christmas gift. I think for my first time making anything like this, including the slider boxes, it turned out cute. I am hoping to get a few more made this week for my children (minus my 16 month old) and maybe my other niece, if I can get it done. Wish me luck!
Here are the pics of the advent calendar. Each drawer has a little surprise in it. It was hard to find little items to fit in there but I really enjoyed making it. I covered chipboard to make the top and bottom pieces to attached the boxes too.

The top is just a piece of chipboard covered in paper that I embossed using a sizzix die. |

Turtles (My version of the MD Terp)
My sons 4th grade teacher loves the Terps and they are considered the 4th grade terps of his school. He happened to be the Terp of the Week and wanted me to make a treat for him to take in (last minute of course). So I thought I would do homemade donuts and make a little bag topper. Of course Create a Critter immediately came to mind. I love the little Terp, I am planning to do a big one with a Santa hat for his teachers Christmas card! TFL.

Cake Pops!
I have been wanting to make cake pops so since I had an October all day work meeting to go to I decided to do some. I used orange suger to decorate the outside. They were yummy. Tasted a lot like brownings because I mixed yellow cake with chocolate icing. TFL.

My baby boy turns 7!
My youngest son turned 7 this week and since it is July and HOT, we did a water themed birthday party. He loves swedish fish so I had to come up with a cake/cupcake idea to include swedish fish. Since we just got back from the beach last weekend I decided a beach them would work. We had some water fun with a small pool and water balloons! Those always help to beat the heat! We also do a breakfast on their actual birthday of donuts and pancakes! TFL.

Baseball Season, Is It Really Over?
Both of my sons played baseball this year and I think my husband and I enjoyed it more than they did, if that is possible. For the end of the year parties I wanted to make something special so for my 6 year olds team I coordinated the gifts and made cards (which I forgot to take pictures of) but also made little mini cupcakes that looked like baseballs and I cut out little baseball gloves from Sports Mania and put them on the gloves on a tray, I took the liners off so the kids could just grab one and munch away. For my older sons team I made sour cream containers with a baseball eraser and Hershey Kisses inside, both were a big hit. Here are pictures of them both:

My Baby Girl Turned 1!!!!!
I cannot believe it, my youngest, Mady turned 1 last week. It has been a very busy few weeks between baseball, Memorial Day weekend, school ending for my boys, work and Mady's birthday. I wanted to make her some decorations but I really ran out of time. I did make her a little banner and I made her a #1 cake for her on her birthday and then for her little party (with family and a few close friends) I made my first fondant cake. It turned out ok. I would definitely try it again. Here are some pics of the cakes and decorations. I also made large sour cream containers in the pink and green as the goodie bags for the kids. My super creative/talented friend Stephannie made the paper cake you can see a glimpse of in one of the pics. I did not want to put a full picture here, but if you visit her site, you can see her amazing work. She is very talented. Her site is born2beach.blogspot.com.

School is over????
Some how the school year flew by and I feel like I missed it. As the room mom for my 3rd graders class I had a lot to do. I made his teacher a scrapbook with a picture of each student and a journaling they did in their own handwriting stating their favorite thing about 3rd grade. I of course forgot to take a picture. I also made a card (stealing my girlfriend Steph's idea) for the art teacher and the PE teacher who was leaving the school. Those turned out cute but I was very rushed and am so glad I saw Steph's idea using Create a Critter. I used Locker Talk for the PE teachers card. Here are those items:

Create a Critter Birthday Card
I made this card for a girl I work with using Create a Critter and an acrylic stamp from the $1 section at Michaels. Gotta love a bargain!

Daughter's 1st Birthday Invitation
My baby girl turns 1 next month and instead of doing the normal Evite I wanted to make her special invitations because as the 4th child she probably has not had as much "special" attention this year as I would have liked to have given her. The theme for the party is pink and green polka dots because I am obsessed with that color combination right now! Here is the prototype invitation. I used a leftover bow my SIL made using ribbon I picked out for her to make a hair bow for Mady for the big day. Only 25 more invitations and bows to go :)
Green, Yellow and Brown???
So green, yellow and brown are not colors I would normally pick for a card...however Robyn from http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ was having a challenge and I needed a Thank You card for a Parent Party for my son's school that we went to over the weekend so I thought I would give it a try. Here is the result:
I used Lyrical Letters for the Thank You and the dragon fly. I used an embossing folder for the brown background.

Finally being productive...and I got Create A Critter!!!!
Today I was finally able to get my care package for my aunt in the mail (I used the Get Whale Soon card for her) and I was able to get the baby gift done for a girl at work (sorry the pictures are not so great). Nothing fancy but just a cute little gift "box", I thought it packaged well! I was also (finally) able to find Create a Critter at Michaels today. Although I did not get to use it yet I plan to this week to make a graduation card and a few thank you cards. Can't wait! Well here is the baby gift. Now off to work on making some journaling boxes for my 3rd graders class to write notes on for the end of the year teachers gift. Good night :)

Mother's Day!
So what did I get for Mother's Day??? Not Create a Critter :( But not for lack of trying. My hubby did try to find it but Michael's was sold out. Hopefully it will come in soon. My girlfriend Stephannie on the other hand was lucky enough to find one and was nice enough to have me over Saturday. We had planned a day to Scrapbook. I did get about 6 pages done (which I of course forgot to take pictures of but will) and I also made a card using her Create a Critter. I also made some cards today for Mother's Day (a trifold that Stephannie cut out and I decorated for my mom) and a card for my sister-in-law. I enjoyed being able to play with the Cricut this weekend! Hopefully I can get some more scrapbooking done soon. I also baked some cupcakes and made a flower out of them to take for the cook-out at my sister-in-laws today. They were yummy!

My Baby Boy Turned 9!!!!
Yesterday my oldest, my very first baby, turned 9. For some reason I am having a hard time with it. I think it is because double digits are next. NOOOO! In celebration (and because he was supposed to have a baseball game) I made some baseball cupcakes (baked in cake cones) and cut out baseball gloves from Sports Mania, cut a hole in them and put the cones in so it looked like a baseball in a glove. I thought they turned out very cute! They were also yummy! The kids (and grown-ups) enjoyed them. His party is this Sunday, I am not sure what I will make for those but I am sure some how the Cricut will be involved!

Easter...I cannot believe I forgot about Easter!
I cannot believe I forgot to post about Easter. Not that I did anything special but I did use the Cricut to decorate the Easter Eggs so I at least need to post that! I cut our names from the vinyl, put it on the eggs and then dyed them. Then I removed the Vinyl (you can see my son Kyle's egg with his vinyl on it before he dyed it). I think next year I will do some decorations. I think it was neat.
I also worked on a card tonight but it is not complete, I need to add some pictures but here it is for now. I will post a better picture once it is really done :)
