Hello.it is back to school time in our house. This year all 4 of my children will be in school. My youngest will just go to preschool 2 days a week for 2.5 hours but still it will means lots of class and teacher goodies :) My boys started Monday so I had to have their teacher gifts ready. Thanks goodness for crafting time while at football practice with my boys and at chemo with my hubby or I would not have been ready. My 4 year old starts Pre-K tomorrow so I have to get hers ready tonight :) The same teachers gift for all of them.
I found this idea on Pinterest, here, and just thought it was so cute. I had already picked up some apple post it notes and some other supplies so I knew it would just take the time to make and put it together.
Here is the final product.
I ended up adding a small decorated container of hand sanitizer and I wrote a note on the top of the post it pad but did not take a picture after that since it was last minute. I love the little clip chalk board I used for the name. I bought this in an 8 pack from the $1 section at Michael's and just used white jelly roll pen to write on them. Worked perfect. The school paper is a 8.5 X11 paper pack from Recollections from Michael's, I love it. I used it last year for end of the year teacher thank you cards also (here).
Also, here are my handsome boys :) I cannot believe they are in 4th and 6th grade. Yikes!
Well I better get to work on my other 4 that I need for tomorrow! (2 teachers, the Principal and the Admin Assistant).
Have a craft day.

Brownies and a cute plate from Pinterest!
Hello all. I wanted to make some brownies for the nurses at my husbands Oncologist's office because they are so sweet and do such a great job of taking care of people all day each day. He had to go in today so I made some chocolate chunk and peanut butter chip brownies. I had recently seen this cute idea on Pinterest on how to upgrade a simple paper plate. I used a cute ribbon I already had to make my plate cute and to tie the plastic wrap that I used for the brownies :) I use my pizza cutter to cut the brownies to try to make them nice and sqaure :)
Then I used my My Creative Time XL Label Die and XL Label Borders stamp set to cute and stamp a cute tag. I then used a cheapy $1 stamp for the thanks so much sentiment, I added a little to it with my white gel pen.
The nurses loved it and I even overheard one of them talking about how cute the plate was :)
Thanks for stopping by. Have a crafty day!

Thank You Cards
When my husband Ed was first diagnosed with cancer back in May I told my girlfriend I needed to create some thank you cards to have on hand because people were doing things for us on a daily basis. She was so sweet and made me a stack of cards. Fortunately I ran out of them quickly because people are so generous. So recently I began making some of my own. I was going to use one of the one sheet wonders but really just wanted a bunch of the same cards but maybe using different patterned paper. I wanted something easy that I could do while sitting in the car or in my chair while watching my boys at football practice. I was able to find these gold shimmery card packs (of 20) for $1.00 at Michael's on clearance. I also bought the envelopes to match for $1.00. I could not pass those up. So I just used some sold card stock and patterned card stock that I had on hand to make a few varieties. I also bought a stamp set a few months ago (the same one my girlfriend used on the set she made me) because I wanted to be able to use punches so again I don't need my Cricut, but can instead punch the circles and stamp where I am. This makes it easy to craft at football, while I am with my husband at chemo, etc. Here are the cards I have made (and mailed-I need to get started on some more) so far.
I am not usually a fan of "crazy" patterned papers but loved the colorful animal print and zebra print and think they turned out cute. I know the cards are no where near as much as people have done for Ed and I but I hope they let them know how thankful we are for all they have done for us. Well, off to make more cards :)
Thanks for stopping by, have a crafty day.
