Hello. With in the last week my fiance (yikes-yes I just typed that-I am engaged to be married in March) lost his best friend in a car accident and a family on my son's baseball team lost their daughter/step-daughter in a car accident. I wanted to mail a card because while notes on Facebook or text, nothing beats a handwritten card. I received so many while Ed was sick and when he passed and while they make me tear up, I still love to read them from time to time. I had some pre-cut cards that I bought on sale a while back so I just added a piece of paper using some button brads, a tag that I used some Recollection paper punches to make (two sizes, one in a striped paper and one in white) and I used a My Creative Time sentiment on the white tag, I then just used some chalk to color the white paper. I made two of the exact same cards just to make it easy.
Loss is never easy and of course helping Ricardo get through this brings up a lot for me, however, it also reminds me to rely on my Faith. I am so blessed to have that Faith, it pulls me though each day, good and bad. Thanks for stopping by.

Wow, has it really been that long?
WOW! Has it really
been that long since I posted? I cannot
believe it. Well unfortunately since Ed
passed I just have not had the time like I used to. I used to love coming to my craft/room office
at the end of the evening for a little bit a few nights a week. Ed would put the kids to bed while I worked
and then we would end our night together once I was done. It gave him time to watch TV which was his favorite
past time.
I have crafted a few times since my last post but
probably less than 10 times. I found
some pictures on my phone from my daughter’s 6th birthday so I
thought I would post those items just for fun.
If I can find old pics of the other fun items I have worked on over the
last year or so I will post those later.
My Mady Moo wanted a paint party but I could not afford to
go to one of those pottery places so I looked on Pinterest and found some ideas
to host our own. I rented a room at our
local community center but probably could have done it at home since it was
such a small group.
I ordered my painting supplies from Amazon, Oriental Trading
and bought some at AC Moore. I set up a
little station for each child to paint a teddy bear bank and a small canvas
picture. I also included crayons and
markers to color on their placemats.
For decorations I used my new Memory Maker Banner Maker
Punch (I am OBSESSED with it-because I can take it anywhere, I can make banners
while sitting at my son’s baseball game, in the car waiting for the kids, etc.). I have used it to make 4 banners so far and I
LOVE it!!!!! I bought stickers (Mombo I
think) for the letters and then picked up some different art stickers from
Recollections (Michaels) they were actually PERFECT for the banner. My Mady Moo LOVED it.
I also made some creative juice by wrapping
juice boxes in duct tape (my new obsession) along with some free hand triangle
shapes to make the crayons. I also made
some creative juice waters with some free printables I found online (I wish I
remembered the site but I don’t, I will keep looking to add it). I also used rice crispy treats and pretzel
rods to make paint brushes using different color candy melts. I think those and the banner were my favorite
items. Lastly, we had to have colorfully
decorated cupcakes J
Thanks for stopping by :), I will try not to wait so long to post again!
