This is my personal blog that hopefully others will enjoy finding information on projects, ideas, etc. that I have created, scraplifted or borrowed :)

My Baby Boy Turned 9!!!!

Yesterday my oldest, my very first baby, turned 9.  For some reason I am having a hard time with it.  I think it is because double digits are next.  NOOOO!  In celebration (and because he was supposed to have a baseball game) I made some baseball cupcakes (baked in cake cones) and cut out baseball gloves from Sports Mania, cut a hole in them and put the cones in so it looked like a baseball in a glove.  I thought they turned out very cute!  They were also yummy!  The kids (and grown-ups) enjoyed them.  His party is this Sunday, I am not sure what I will make for those but I am sure some how the Cricut will be involved!

Easter...I cannot believe I forgot about Easter!

I cannot believe I forgot to post about Easter.  Not that I did anything special but I did use the Cricut to decorate the Easter Eggs so I at least need to post that!  I cut our names from the vinyl, put it on the eggs and then dyed them.  Then I removed the Vinyl (you can see my son Kyle's egg with his vinyl on it before he dyed it).  I think next year I will do some decorations. I think it was neat.

I also worked on a card tonight but it is not complete, I need to add some pictures but here it is for now.  I will post a better picture once it is really done :)

Love the Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge Flower

Hello all.  I have not been crafting as much because I have been actually going to bed once the kids are in bed, I am a little run down with my now 10 month old STILL not sleeping through the night.  We are worried she may have some milk protein issues like my 2 year old so I think I have been spoiling her more than I need to at night and just need to finally let her cry it out for a few nights. Ahh, the joys of motherhood!  I love the blog www.mypinkstamper.com and on Saturday she had a challenge for a chance to win a Create a Critter cartridge, which is adorable!  So here is my submission:  it had to have pink, green and black which I totally love the color combination of pink and green anyway, so I was excited to make it.  I am obsessed with the flower on the Plantin SchoolBook cartridge so I had to use it (again) for this one.  I loved using ribbon for the stem also, instead of paper.  I think it added a nice little touch.  Hope you like it!

Cards and Carrots

Saturday my girlfriend Steph came over, we had been planning a few days to have a card making session.  She had seen this very cute idea using the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge so she brought it over and cut out some templates and I put them together.  It turned out VERY cute!  It will be the perfect Easter centerpiece.
Aren't they the cutest carrots you have ever seen!  The blogs we looked at used ribbon but I think the flowers turned out adorable on them.
I also completed 6 cards using a template that a very nice person posted on the Cricut messageboard under cards for Soldiers.  It was very simple to make 6 quick/easy cards.  I need to get some more embossing templates and I will do it again to keep some cards on file for future use.

I had a great time hanging out and card making.  I hope we do it again soon!  Especially since I bought a few more carts on Ebay this weekend!

Love Craft Time

My girlfriend (as I mentioned in my last post) is having a joint party for her 1 year old daughter and 7 year old son this weekend.  I still needed to make the boys card.  I really did not have any masculine except sports but I did not know what sports he likes.  So I decided to go with this theme instead, hope you like it.  TFL.

Spring is in the air!

It is SO nice outside today. I had to go to meeting this morning and did not want to go back to work. I attempted to come home to telework and cannot get my VPN working so I guess I will have to take leave. So I thought, why not post on my blog :) I made this card for my girlfriends little girl who turns 1 next week. Her son turns 7 shortly after that and they are having a combo bday party next weekend so I have to get working on something cute for him. I love the pink and green combination for this card. I plan to use the pink and green theme for my youngest daughter who turns 1 in June, I already bought her outfit for her birthday and am using that as the birthday party theme! Too funny right! Well, hope you enjoy the card, hope to be back on here with some more creations soon. TFL.

Fun, Fun, Fun!

Last week seemed to be a good craft time for me.  I was able to get up to my room and make some small items.  I created two basketball cards for my son, Ryan's, coaches because the season ended this past weekend.  I also made some chocolate lollipops that looked like basketballs for the kids.  I was also able to finally start participating in the Cricut Card Fairies by creating a few cards.  Lastly, I used a template that I saw on Ideas for Scrapbookers, a blog that I follow, to create an AWESOME exploding box for my Father in law's birthday which is today.  Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I have to wait until my mother in law downloads the pics from her camera for a picture of it.  I have enjoyed being on everyone's blog this week and am glad I was able to get some time for craft/card making.  Hopefully soon I can get some scrapbooking time as well.  Here are some pics for now:
